The Present Continuous Tense
Is formed : I AM + verb + ING
YOU ARE + verb + ING
HE, SHE, IT IS + verb + ING
Is used in four cases:1) The action is taking place at the moment of speach: You are reading this text now.
2) The action is taking place at the present period of time but not necessarily at the moment of speach: You can say while swimming in the sea: "I am studying English."
3) The action will take place in the nearest future: "My friends are coming next Sunday."
4) With the word "always" for positive or negative emotions: "You are always working!" (with pride) "You are always working!" (with anger)
The verbs of mental, sensory and visual perception that are NOT used in the Continous Forms:
to be, to agree, to refuse, to prefer, to possess, to belong, to mean, to contain, to matter, to result, to consist, to mind, to see, to recognize, to believe, to doubt, to realize, to recall, to forgive, to remember, to forget, to notice, to smell, to hear, to see, to suppose, to want, to wish, to desire, to know, to seem, to care, to understand, to hate, to adore, to love, to like.
